Job descriptionTransportation Compile orders and instructions received from customers Organize tasks to accomplish the work Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization Track and complete work orders Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments Prepare and submit reports Arrange for maintenance and repair work Ensure proper functioning of equipment Maintain work records and logs Monitor personnel workloads and locations Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Compile worksheets and specifications of orders Monitor production progress Project management Provide customer service Conduct performance reviews Co‑ordinate, assign and review work Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies Assist with maintenance of communications equipment Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations Keep track of shipments Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses Respond to urgent calls from individuals who find themselves in life threatening situation and who require assistance Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment Mapping and data visualization software Electronic mail Database Quick Books Internet MS Access MS Excel MS PowerPoint MS Word MS Windows MS Office Trucking Criminal record check Ability to work independently Fast‑paced environment Work under pressure Tight deadlines Attention to detail Hand‑eye coordination Repetitive tasks Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Organized ReliabilityTeam player Accurate Values and ethics Initiative Judgement Analytical Proactive Dental plan Health care plan Vision care benefits
