Summary

This is a 12 month term position that will assist the Procurement Leads to ensure the best position for Simplot Grower Solutions (SGS) in the acquisition of seed, seed care, inoculant, and crop protection products by supporting our SGS network with excellence in demand planning, order execution, inventory tracking and supply planning. Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting teams for success in accurate rebate tracking, coordinating vendor prepays, purchase order / product receipt / invoice matching and ensuring accurate and timely payments to our distributors.

Key Responsibilities

Product Procurement and Logistics

• Work closely with Procurement Leads and Location Managers to monitor internal inventories, create purchase orders and effectively communicate orders to distribution partners while maximizing efficiencies of warehouse capacities and profitability
• Ensure product skus and pricing are up to date in ERP system
• Be a point of contact for suppliers and distributors to collect information such as inventory forecast position reports
• Communicate accruals to our rebate team and ensure accuracy of rebate accrual estimates
• Responsible for accurate sales data reporting and validations
• Ensure current understanding of all products, load and package sizes appropriate to Simplot Grower Solutions Markets
• Ensure 3-way match of purchase orders, purchase receipts and invoicing within our ERP systems
• Responsible for submitting vendor prepays, accuracy and tracking
• Assist in review of vendor bill lists and reconcile to vendor statements
• Assist in logistics of custom seed treating – work with sales staff to ensure the most efficient use of custom seed treaters.
• Monitor aging inventory by location
