The Program
Taproot Community Support Services (formerly WJS Canada) works to improve the lives of persons in their communities through a variety of programs and services. Taproot Community Support Services’s Home To Stay provides personal supports to clients in their own homes and specializes in services such as personal care, housekeeping, companionship, community connections, advocacy, and family support. The Home to Stay program has been providing support to people with many different needs since 2013. Taproot staff are trained in many aspects of health care and our experience allows for flexibility in supports and ensures individuals in our care are safe. We ensure the supports you receive meet your needs. We’re available twenty-four hours a day, 7 days a week. We encourage feedback to help ensure the right caregiver and supports are in place allowing the client to feel safe and comfortable with their caregiver and services.
The Position
The Home Care Support Worker will follow an Individual Care Plan while providing personal care and home support services to a female with limited physical abilities. This includes providing home-based cleaning and personal care to assist person served with the activities of daily living within varied settings to promote maximum independence as well as observe and document on client’s health condition and environment. The Home Care Support Worker reports to the Program Manager.
Scheduling
One (1) permanent part-time position available with a flexible / variable weekly schedule of 15-20 hours per week, based upon the needs and requirements of the person receiving service.
