The Role : As an RN / LPN in the Emergency Room and High Acuity Unit, you will provide comprehensive and responsive care to patients requiring urgent medical attention and advanced monitoring. Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, you’ll apply critical thinking, prioritization, and specialized nursing skills to stabilize and improve patient outcomes in high-stress situations.
Responsibilities :
- Provide immediate care for patients in critical and high-acuity conditions, stabilizing vital signs, administering medications, and managing complex interventions.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including vital signs, response to treatment, and any changes in health status.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and execute individualized care plans tailored to patient needs in the ER and HAU settings.
- Educate patients and families on their health conditions, post-discharge care instructions, and preventive health practices.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all clinical protocols, infection control guidelines, and unit procedures.
Requirements :
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing within the province.Certification in ACLS and BLS is required.Minimum of 2 years Canadian experience in ER, HAU, or related critical care setting.Proficiency in critical thinking, problem-solving, and handling high-stress, fast-paced environments.Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to support effective patient care and collaboration.Please note that we are exclusively recruiting people who can legally work in Canada.
