As a Commercial Insurance Associate you will apply your superior attention to detail and excellent client service skills while working closely with a team of Producers and Marketers on our Commercial accounts. You will help build long-term relationships with our clients with helping to answer client inquires and requests through policy and coverage insurers.

A day in the life -

Assist producer and marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts

Meet existing clients needs and process documentation (Certificates of Insurance Cover Notes Renewals Proposals Endorsements In-House Policies Invoicing Finance Contracts Customer Correspondence)

Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to the client

Contact clients for renewal information

Take client calls and answer questions regarding coverages accept and process online quotes

Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price so as to best meet the needs of the client in conjunction with the producer

Update client information as changes occur

Answer account related questions / requests from clients lawyers and banks

Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry

Will be assigned some minimal but regular duties to help support the floater position

What you will bring to our team -

Level 1 General Insurance License

Level 2 General Insurance License considered an asset

Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency

Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment

A minimum of one year of insurance industry experience is preferred

Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail

Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences and meet their desired needs

Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal) present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

Works well in a fast paced client-focused environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook

Industry designation an asset (CIP CAIB CRM General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma BCIT)

Salary Expectations

The expected salary range for this position is $45000 to $55000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and working location as well as the specific positions business line scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits disability insurance RRSP matching paid-time-off benefits and eligible bonuses and commissions for some positions.
