The Senior Manager, Climate Data and Execution will work with the Climate Change team led by the Vice-President and Head, Global Sustainability, and in close partnership with Data & Analytics, Global Risk Management and other relevant corporate functions, as well as business line partners, to support in the timely advancement of defined climate-related priorities, both voluntary and regulatory, including but not limited to execution of the bank's net-zero strategy, regulatory data requirements and its climate-related financing commitment.

The successful candidate will help drive decisions in defined projects through the development of tools and approaches that lend clarity to complex data-focused problems and processes, as well as helping to inform a range of stakeholers regarding the bank's progress on certain key climate-related objectives.

The incumbent is a strategic thinker, solution-oriented, and has problem-solving experience within the large organizational context.

The incumbent has a strong facility with data management, and is a strong communicator, both written and oral.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will :

Support in the execution of the bank's key climate-change processes and programs, with a focus on data management and cross-functional stakeholder communication :

Supports and contributes to the effective tracking of the bank's $350B climate-related finance commitment with a focus on data management, process improvement and quality assurance

Has responsibility for the creation and management of project plans for the financed emissions working group (or other internal groups, as may be required), relying on effective stakeholder management, communication of timelines and status reporting

Creates and delivers meeting materials for working groups that support decision-making amongst key stakeholders

Provides support on data requirements that arise as a function of the bank's regulatory and voluntary climate goals

Supports the bank's internal teams in tracking emissions reduction progress against interim targets, integrating Net Zero levers into business line planning, and setting targets for future priority sectors.

Develops expertise in data aspects relating to climate-related programs

Participates in and tailors work to suit a customer-focused culture, which aims to enhance and broaden the Global Sustainability team's relationships with key stakeholder groups

Assist in identifying ways to leverage climate-related data to create process efficiencies and improve data quality and accuracy

Fosters engagement and can drive consensus with internal stakeholders, mobilizing knowledge, commitment, and action across the organization.

Is comfortable in a high-performance environment, that requires effective delivery on tight timelines.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have :

Bachelor's degree in a relevant area, such as business, science, sustainability, or economics

Master's degree and / or experience in sustainability and / or climate change is considered an asset

4+ years of work experience

Exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills,

Delivery-oriented, and demonstrated ability for strategic influencing, stakeholder facilitation, collaboration in cross-functional teams and facility with complex data processes.

Demonstrated ability for strategic thinking influencing, relationship management, collaboration, and education of cross-functional stakeholders about the strategic importance and value of analytics and data

Capability of conveying complex information clearly and concisely, to stakeholders from a range of backgrounds within the bank, including senior management

Knowledge of financial services, and the Canadian banking system is considered an asset
