  • Shift : Rotating : Days : Nights : Afternoon – 8-hour shifts –
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours. Guaranteed 8 hours of OT weekly

Join Our Team as a Millwright Maintenance Technician

Are you a certified Industrial Mechanic (Millwright 433a) with a knack for problem-solving and a proactive attitude toward maintenance? We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our unionized team in Welland, ON.

What You’ll Do :

  • Lead or assist in corrective and preventive maintenance efforts alongside a dedicated team of technicians and production staff.
  • Install, maintain, and overhaul a wide range of mechanical equipment, from melt shop machinery to conveyors and hydraulic systems, adhering to provincial standards and OEM specifications.
  • Engage in proactive troubleshooting to prevent equipment failures and contribute to our lubrication and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures, including lock-out / tag-out protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with contractors during shutdowns or emergency maintenance tasks and maintain open communication with the maintenance management team.
  • Support our continuous improvement efforts by participating in the 5S program and contributing to root-cause failure investigations.
  • Who You Are :

  • A certified Industrial Mechanic (Millwright 433a) committed to safety and environmental consciousness.
  • Experienced in the foundry or primary metals industry (preferred) and familiar with material processing and handling systems.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechanical and material handling systems, and competent in fabrication and welding.
  • Able to read schematic drawings, blueprints, and OEM manuals, and you’re comfortable using computer maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, working in various atmospheric conditions, climbing ladders, working at heights, and wearing PPE at all times.
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed to support our 24 / 7 operation.
