Director of Operations

Our client is seeking a smart and passionate Director of Operations for their major branded 5 star hotel property in Nova Scotia.

Prefer an upcoming Rooms Division / Hotel / Director of Operations professional to oversee Rooms operations, Front Desk, Housekeeping and Maintenance.

Would consider an outstanding hotel / resort individuals ready for the next step in her / his career. This individual MUST have a strong background in 5 star room operations and have a very hands-on management style and experience in a similar Hotel / Resort management role is a must.

You will be expected to lead by example every day, be able to communicate well and interact closely with both the guests and the staff.

The Director of Operations will be expected to be on hand to welcome guests and totally to take care of their needs. Must every day be able to communicate well in both written and verbal communication as well as articulate tasks and interact closely with the team to ensure they are well trained and passionate about guest services.

Role ResponsibilitiesProvide daily leadership, management, training and direction to all departmentsDrive Revenue and Control all CostsFocus on exceeding guest expectations daily and on improving established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employeesReview, develop and implement policies &;

procedures that strengthen the team and improve the customer experience Recruit, develop, supervise, inspire and evaluate staff and provide feedback throughout their work to ensure top performanceProtect the property and their assets through enforcing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program, resulting in employee and guest safety, orderly operations, compliance with legislative standards and company expectationsFoster a success oriented and accountable environment at the resort Requirements : A true passion and appreciation for working in a leading 5-star property is essential for success in this role, with 3 to 5 years similar experience managing a similar 5 star hotel or resort operation is requiredMust be a versatile and multi-skilled professional who is passionate about providing personal serviced and can oversee the rooms division and collaborating with F&B.

Independent and self-motivated, Creative and Ambitious, Hands-on and CharismaticAble to work well with a team and has a proven track record of strong managerial and computers skillsWilling to accept feedback to ensure their goals are aligned with the team and hotel missionA service driven individual dedicated to the guest and employment experienceObtained bachelor's degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Business.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and solid budgetary knowledge and skills. This organization will offer an excellent starting salary of around $110,000 with outstanding benefits.

Based on the candidate’s experience a potential bonus program based on hotel performance goals under the successful candidate’s leadership may be offered as well as other executive perks.
