Senior Analyst, Data Management & Compliance
Our client acts as a strong, long-term partner to the insurance sector, focusing on the life, annuity, and pension markets in North America and Europe.
They provide annuity-based reinsurance products to insurance and reinsurance companies and also issue pension risk transfer products for pension plan sponsors.
The goal is to match long-duration liabilities with high-quality investments to generate attractive, risk-adjusted returns.
Position Summary :
The Senior Analyst, Data Management & Compliance, will be part of the Middle-Office Investment Operations team. This role involves leading efforts to ensure data integrity across various systems, including IMA compliance monitoring and reporting.
The successful candidate will support the Portfolio Management and Risk Management teams and interact with custodians, counterparties, and other outsourcing providers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all product life cycle components.

- Manage all aspects of the enterprise database on behalf of the Middle-Office Investment Operations team.
- Ensure data integrity and access compliance across systems.
- Maintain security master data at a central source, ensuring accuracy aligned with the investment team’s views.
- Perform ongoing data validation between accounting, risk, and market data systems.
- Monitor ratings sources and changes on underlying investments.
Compliance :
- Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring and reporting for all IMAs.
- Prepare periodic treaty-level reporting packages.
- Develop procedures and best practices for accurate and timely monitoring of positions across all accounts.
Other Activities :
- Participate in testing and implementing operational enhancements and special projects.
- Contribute to the continuous development of operational processes and controls.
- Provide exceptional service in interactions with internal and external contacts.
- Support internal and external audit-related activities.
- Participate in working groups focused on industry and regulatory initiatives and best practices.
- Coordinate the onboarding of new accounts, investment types, brokers, and counterparties.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Minimum of 4 years of experience; CFA / CAIA / FRM designation preferred.
- Insurance sector experience and knowledge of insurance requirements are an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or other relevant fields is required.
- Experience with various programming languages (Python, SQL, VBA) is an asset.
- Experience managing large quantities of data with varying degrees of access.
- Excellent working knowledge of complex investment products (FX, Futures, Options, Credit and Interest Rate Derivatives, Repos, and Bond Forwards) as well as P&L and cash analysis on those products.
- Excellent working knowledge of Alternative Investments, including Private Loans, Term Loans, LPs, and Third-Party Funds.
