About the Opportunity
- Preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliation, maintenance of accounting records in conformity with ASPE, and assist with month-end close activity
- Responsible for timely completion of P&L variance analysis on a monthly basis
- Possess strong business judgment and the ability to identify opportunities to improve business processes
- Act as a business advisor to a network of Branch Managers across Ontario, offering training and collaborative solutions to improve the success and profitability of each business unit
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely manner
- Assist with year-end external audit by preparing and reviewing all audit requirements
- Manage customer rebate programs
- Prepare monthly rent roll for all locations, maintain lease and complete CAM reconciliations
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization
- Support the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of financial reports
- Prepare ad hoc reporting and participate in special projects as required.
About You
- CPA / CMA designation (or in final stages), with 3-5 years related work experience
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Inventory Management is an asset
- Working knowledge of Blackline, SXe, and COGNOS is an asset
- Ability to develop a strong rapport with coworkers
- Demonstrated interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills to effectively build a positive relationship with team members
- Self-starter who is able to take initiative and work well independently
- Skills & Abilities Ability to manage tight monthly deadlines and deliver high quality work Strong analytical and problem-solving skills identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information proficiently, and develops alternative solutions Strong communication and business partnering skills Organized, detail-oriented, good time management skills, and able to balance multiple priorities effectively
Salary
$85000 / year
