Manage global payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate payrolls in accordance with deadlines.Address employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll issues within established SLAs.Investigate payroll incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement process improvements.Handle expatriate payrolls and enter international payrolls by deadlines in HSBC.Establish and maintain internal control procedures in line with management and internal audit expectations.Reconcile payroll at year-end, including PIER, T4s, and T2200.Process ROEs timely and investigate any discrepancies.Ensure compliance with Canadian vacation accruals and legislations.Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings for Canada, including Workers' Compensation and other local tax remittances.Administer payroll and payroll tax processes, ensuring compliance with tax requirements for each province.Review and manage all taxes under OneSource Virtual (OSV) responsibility.Respond to payroll tax-related inquiries within SLAs.Facilitate the timely filing of annual tax returns, including T4s / RL-1, HK tax statements, and other international tax documents.Act as the key liaison for payroll-related audits, both internal and external.Implement controls to ensure the accuracy of processes and financial statements.Interpret labour agreements, statutory legislation, and policies to ensure compliance with pay, deductions, benefits, and taxes.Requirements :
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.Extensive experience in processing payroll within large corporations.Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory laws, and labour agreements.Experience with preparing, reconciling, and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual remittances.In-depth understanding of Canadian and U.S. tax and garnishment laws.Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to evaluate processes for efficiency and effectiveness.Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent experience).PCP / PLP certification preferred.Experience with Workday payroll system highly preferred.Apply now to this Payroll Manager job in Mississauga, ON for immediate employment consideration.
