Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the Woodstock / London corridor. In this role, you will oversee financial operations and provide strategic insights to ensure the success of our manufacturing processes. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team, drive operational improvements, and contribute to the growth of a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, production cost analysis, and budgeting.
• Lead the development and implementation of process improvements to optimize financial operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
• Supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and precise completion.
• Provide strategic financial planning and forecasting to support business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable business insights.
• Partner with operations and senior leadership to drive organizational success.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience in hiring, training, and managing employees.
• Expertise in cost accounting methodologies, including standard costing and activity-based costing.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE GAAP, IFRS, and compliance processes.
• Proficiency in financial systems, with experience in ERP systems preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
