Senior Maintenance Mechanic
Position SummaryThis position will troubleshoot and communicate mechanical issues in the production area and maintain a productive, safe and clean work environment.
Job responsibilities : Perform maintenance functions related to production equipmentMSDS forms Steam, Vacuum, Air, Hydraulic gagesPerform electrical repairsInstruct helpers and less qualified personnelIdentify proper P / M schedulesIdentify proper parts, materials and tools needed for specific jobsAbility to set up and operate all shop equipmentUnderstand operating principles and all safety aspects of the steam generator and related steam equipmentDemonstrates commitment to Safety and performs job duties in accordance to company safety policies and proceduresWork weekends to complete planned work as well as emergency repairsEnsures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followedKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of Flat Bed Die Cutters, Rotary Die Cutters, and J & L GluersAbility to disassemble, repair, and troubleshoot plant machinesAbility to overhaul, rebuild, and troubleshoot plant machinesAbility to make simple parts or equipment and toolsMust have proper tools to perform assigned work dutiesAbility to read, comprehend, and where necessary complete items including a blue print, electrical schematic, operating and maintenance manuals, work order, repair parts request, standard and metric tape measure, and other measuring equipment including a micrometer, a caliper, a scale, and a VOM (Volt / OHM Meter)Ability to complete work orders in Manager Plus (or applicable Maintenance software)Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentMinimum of 1 year combination of training, education and / or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities to perform the duties listed aboveMust have technical knowledge or maintenance tools and equipmentPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentPrimarily works in a production and / or warehouse settingAbility to stand 6-8 hoursMust be able to lift 50 lbs.
