Job descriptionStrong electrical and PLC experience 3 to 7 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment Valid provincial certification as an Industrial or Construction Electrician would be an asset Past experience in the maintenance of overhead cranes would be useful Journeyman Industrial Mechanic / Millwright or equivalent experience would be an asset Welding tickets would also be considered an asset Strong troubleshooting / problem solving skills Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to handle physically demanding work Must be comfortable working at heights Must have reliable transportation to work Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate within a diverse workforce Available to work shifts on a flexible basis including short notice of overtime
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on all facility equipment and systems
- Assist with troubleshooting all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC systems
- Working with outside third party maintenance companies
- Conduct equipment inspections as required or as outlined by the preventative maintenance schedule to detect and diagnose issues
- Report detailed records of work performed to management
- Contribute to plant upgrades and improvements
- Additional duties as assigned

Hourly wage for this position starts between $23-$25 per hour.
