Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Lands Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to various direct reports (comprising of professionals; technical specialists; technologist) in administering the approvals, licenses, permits, disposition management and monitoring programs for all activities designated under the Public Lands Act and Public Lands Administrative Regulations.

This role will also need to be aware and familiar with relevant related legislation such as the Provincial Parks Act, Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, Water Act and Forests Act. Within the legislative framework as Lands Approval Team Lead you are responsible for implementing Provincial and Regional policies, procedures, directives and / or guidelines, representing the Department in defense of actions and decisions made within the program. You will be implementing procedures developed by the management team to ensure the integration of forest, water, range, land, environmental practices, and program approvals are delivered in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
