The Role : Hydraulics & Electrical Specialist
The Hydraulics & Electrical Specialist is at the heart of shipbuilding innovation - installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the hydraulic and electrical infrastructure that keeps our products and production equipment running strong.
Key Responsibilities
Install and commission hydraulic and electrical systems in custom marine products, ensuring every detail meets high standardsTravel periodically to customer sites for installation and commissioningDiagnose and repair faults or breakdowns in hydraulic and electrical systemsCollaborate with Engineering to refine designs and support new ideasPerform hands-on maintenance and repairs on production equipment or supporting fabricationWork closely with inventory, production, and engineering teams to keep projects movingDocument setups and share best practices for continuous improvementWhat You Bring
Deep knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems - design, build, and troubleshootingMechanical aptitude and a can-do attitude Exceptional problem-solving skillsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsTeam spirit and passion for learning and teachingProven ability to work well under minimal supervision and follow throughStrong organizational skillsExperience in a production or fabrication environment (marine industry an asset)Forklift and Overhead Crane Certification is an assetLevel 1 or 2 First Aid is an assetThank you for considering a career with AdvanTec Marine.
