NOHFC DECISION SUPPORT ANALYST INTERN (24-0000502)

Bargaining Unit : NON UNION

Status : Full Time TEMPORARY

Department : Planning and Performance

Site : Varied

Shifts : Days

Reporting to the Manager, Decision Support Services, the Decision Support Analyst Intern will assist the team in developing reporting and data analytic solutions that meet management information needs.

Qualifications :

Education / Experience :

  • Degree in Business, Information Management, Health Administration

Skills / Abilities :

  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain good working relations
  • Strong project / time management skills
  • Superior skills in data management and manipulation using Excel (pivot tables, advanced filters, lookup functions, macros)
  • Proficiency with office computer equipment and software, including MS Office
  • Ability to use independent judgment and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to adhere to the SJCG Principles of Conduct of care, compassion, commitment
  • Assets :

  • Experience with Power BI is an asset
  • CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.

  • NOHFC Requirements :

    The following eligibility requirements must be met under the NOHFC funding program :

  • Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field
  • Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
  • Candidate must reside and be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • For the Workforce Development Stream.
