Registered Nurse - casual

Overview

We are currently looking for Registered Nurses to join us, for casual work, in our oral surgery practice.

Responsibilities

• preparation of equipment and medications for surgical procedures
• review patient history and conduct pre-operatory assessment
• continuous patient care during sedation while monitoring vital signs and assisting as required
• post-operative patient care in preparation for discharge
• complete all necessary documentation for patient records

Qualifications

• must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the provincial guidelines
• must have CPR and ACLS
• strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• ability to take initiative, work independently and work effectively in a team environment
• previous experience in oral surgery, emergency room, ICU, PACU or critical care is an asset
