Position DescriptionOur “beautiful community” is a vibrant, growing group of over people of different nationalities,various social and economic backgrounds, and different places on our journeys of faith. WhileRiverCross Church has been an integral part of Saint John’s North End since , we have undergonetransformational growth since moving to our newly constructed facility in . This continuedthrough the pandemic, which has left us with challenges and opportunities that are a blessing. Webelieve that discovering what it means to be a Jesus follower happens in community.We are seeking a candidate for a new position on our staff so that we can foster a richer sense ofconnectedness as we continue to reach the Greater Saint John area for Jesus. The successfulcandidate for this position will create, maintain, and grow opportunities for our congregation to learnBiblical truth and equip them with spiritual life skills, for the purpose of a lifelong maturing of theirfaith. They will have a passion for spiritual formation, an appreciation of the value of small groupministry, and a holistic vision for maturing in faith. A leader of leaders, their mandate will be to createa leadership team to bring this ministry to life. They are responsible for fostering a sense of belongingwithin the church community. Impact AreasMember engagementDevelop strategies to engage all members in our “beautiful community” that foster inclusion,relationships, belonging and spiritual growth.Adult DiscipleshipDevelop and participate in an educational plan that allows our community to develop the Biblicalskills, practices, and understanding that deepen faith and lead to a functional Christian life.Life GroupsDevelop, communicate, and execute a vision for Life Groups as a central RiverCross experience.Associate Pastor DutiesContribute as a member of the pastoral team through preaching, pastoral care, officiating, andsupporting the Senior Pastor.Volunteer CultureIdentify members’ spiritual gifts with and mobilize them to contribute to the experience of others inour “beautiful community.” Qualifications Minimum 5 years' experience in a pastoral roleMaster of Divinity or equivalent (or a combination of study and experience)Passionate about building relationshipsDemonstrated capacity to be a leader of leadersInnovative, resourceful, effective communicatorExperience working in a multicultural setting; demonstrated ability to connect with peoplefrom different cultures from all over the worldProficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeFluent working knowledge of the English languageExperience with Portuguese, Spanish, Korean or Mandarin may be an asset but is not arequirementDemonstrated ability to be an effective team member in a fast-paced environmentA commitment to the church's mission and values Qualified and interested candidates are invited to send a resume and cover letter to.
