JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director, Product Management is responsible for leading the product management department and subsequent commercialization (go-to-market) strategy and lifecycle management of high value products and services to accelerate Medline Canada’s growth. The role leads the sourcing and development of new products and supporting vendor network.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Product Management team to drive growth in Canada, both in terms of market share and wallet share through existing category growth as well as the development of opportunities for new categories and markets based on market insights.
  • Work closely with Medline’s Global Sourcing Organization (GSO) to maximize product cost and inventory pipeline position.
  • Work closely with Senior Sales leadership to develop integrated product portfolios focused on key call points across the continuum of care.
  • Determine Medline Canada’s market opportunities, addressable market and channels, and initial targets for market penetration, and competitive landscape for both existing and to be launched products.
  • Work collaboratively with Medline’s sales and business unit leaders to develop annual product plans, including sourcing and marketing priorities and initiatives. Determine the business issues and the patient care issues to develop a compelling value proposition – by channel, and by decision maker. Tie to compelling events like legislation.
  • Prepare and manage commercialization project plans including product implementation plan for launch and ongoing lifecycle by working closely and collaboratively with and leading cross functional teams internal and external to the organization.
  • Develop an integrated demand creation plan and a comprehensive, methodical process for ongoing demand planning and forecasting as well as the corresponding distribution plan with Procurement, Inventory Management, Operations, Logistics, Customer Experience, and Sales.
  • Manage private label and vendor management protocols and procurement requirements.
  • Ongoing Growth Trend and ROI analysis.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, sales, marketing or supply chain leadership roles.
  • Experience in Healthcare or a related field.

  • Experience in delivering and leveraging data-driven business analytics and developing business insights.
  • Experience leading high performing, cross departmental teams, and in controlling concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines.
  • Experience presenting to Senior Management / C-Suite with purpose of influencing decisions.
  • Understanding of Brand Marketing and communication.
  • Understanding of contract manufacturing and private label products.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project.
  • Bilingual – English and French an asset.
