Red Seal Millwright - Night Shift - Delta, BC

Our client, a leading beverage manufacturer with a reputation for innovation and a people-first approach, is looking for a dedicated Red Seal Millwright to join their Delta, BC plant. In this role, you'll collaborate with electricians to ensure the optimal operation of machinery and play a key part in the company's commitment to excellence.

Permanent Position

Hours : Monday Night to Saturday Morning - Straight night shifts (no rotation)

Wage : $50.48 + $0.95 Night shift prem

Location : Delta, BC

Environment : Unionized, Food & Beverage Industry

Experience & Certification : Red Seal Millwright certification required

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Millwright in the food and beverage industry, a normal shift would include :

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of machinery, including conveyors, gearboxes, small motors, pressurized pipes, valves, actuators, chain drives, VFDs, pumps, compressors, hydraulics / pneumatics, blowers, and packaging equipment.
  • Collaborate with electricians to ensure seamless plant operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure machinery runs efficiently.
  • Work on night shifts with the possibility of afternoon shifts in the future.
  • Work as part of a team on upgrade projects, as well as address any critical repairs of automated manufacturing lines
  • Qualifications

    What do you need for this position?

  • Red Seal certification as a Millwright (mandatory)
  • Additional 4th class power engineer certification preferred (willing to train the right candidate if not already certified).
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the food, packaging, or pharmaceutical industries.
