Responsibilities

• Manage communications initiatives and advise senior officials.
• Plan events, create communication tools, write materials, engage stakeholders.
• Maintain the SMS website and social media; respond to public and media inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Communications; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• Experience in strategic and internal communications; knowledge of communication techniques, methods, and tools; ability to communicate complex issues clearly across varied audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume workloads.
• Experience in police or emergency services is an asset.
