The practice is home to six friendly and experienced family physicians who value collegiality and comprehensive patient care. The interprofessional team includes a dedicated dietician, social worker, family practice nurse, and experienced clerical staff who ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic. Utilizing the MedAccess EMR system, the practice supports efficient documentation and coordination of care. Office hours run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing a balanced workday within a welcoming and well-organized setting.

Job Description

Harvest Tides Family Practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for the following dates:

• July 28to Aug 5, 2025.
• August 25,26,27,28 and 292025
• February 23, 24,25, 26 and27 2026
• March 02 2026

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

The Village of New Minas was a farming and agriculture community until construction of the Highway 101 expressway in the 1970s. As it was located between the population centres of Kentville and Wolfville, New Minas soon became the retail centre for the eastern Valley.
