Job Description :
As a Hydraulics Mechanic, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing hydraulic systems on various heavy equipment. Your role will also require a basic understanding of electrical systems to effectively troubleshoot and support the equipment's operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
Build and install hydraulic systems for heavy equipment according to specifications and requirements.
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on hydraulic systems of heavy equipment.
Inspect and test hydraulic systems to identify malfunctions using diagnostic equipment.
Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of hydraulic components.
Utilize basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair electrical components related to hydraulic systems.
Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all service and repair work performed.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in hydraulics or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Hydraulics Technician or in a similar role.
Experience in building hydraulic systems for heavy equipment is highly desirable.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
