The BC Parks Foundation is a NFP fueled by an ambitious vision to create the world’s greatest system of parks and Indigenous protected areas. With a team of 42 employees and hundreds of millions raised, and a commitment to impactful programs such as Healthy by Nature , which champions the healing benefits of nature and 30X30 , a bold initiative to protect 30% of BC’s private and public lands and waters by 2030, the Foundation has now reached a level of complexity that requires enhanced operational discipline.
This critical leadership role, reporting to the CEO and interfacing with the board, offers the opportunity to be a transformative force within this fast-growing, entrepreneurial and mission-driven organization. The VP will set the organization up for success by ensuring it has the people, structure, processes, systems and resources in place to evaluate and manage initiatives, programs and projects. The VP will ensure operational alignment with the Foundation’s mission and free the CEO to focus on funder engagement, stakeholder advocacy, strategic partnerships and new opportunities. Their ability to zoom into the details while maintaining a strategic vision will be key to navigating the challenges related to the increasing complexity of the organization.
The ideal candidate brings deep operational expertise and the ability to design and implement scalable structures and foresee the path forward. They are adept at cultural transformation, bridging teams and building trust among a young and talented employee group while serving as a mentor to emerging leaders. A team leader by nature, they possess the intuition and communication skills to respectfully challenge the status quo and push for improvements that connect granular operational work to the broader strategic vision. Their entrepreneurial mindset, combined with experience growing organizations through periods of significant change, makes them well-suited to ensure the Foundation thrives now and in decades to come.

In accordance with BC’s Pay Transparency Act, the expected base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 per year.
