Nanny Wanted - Nanny Wanted On Denman Island, Bc $18/Hr Plus Meals And A Private Cabin Caring Family Environment

Hello! I'm Lara, a family living in Comox Valley, British Columbia. I'm looking for an nanny to join our family.

I'm looking for someone who is passionate about caring for children. You will be responsible for looking after a 2 year old as well as a 6 year old. We have 2 very sweet outdoor cats. You will not be required to care for them.

The position is part-time and live-in, with the possibility of housekeeping and meal preparation duties - to be discussed (for additional compensation). To be considered you must possess a valid CPR certificate (or be willing to obtain). I'm offering $18.00 an hour for the right person plus room and board. There is a private cabin on our property where you can live which has been fully remodelled with a private bathroom, kitchenette, queen size bed and fridge. You may eat meals with us or cook on your own in the cabin.

Our family is very close and we like to spend time together. We spend a lot of time hiking, going to the beach, having campfires and dinners with friends.

Grant is a carpenter and I (Lara) am a teacher. I work with university students who have learning disabilities. I work online and my office is in our house.

Our home is located in a forested 4-acre plot of land, on a fairly remote island. It is a popular tourist destination for Canadians in the summertime especially. It is very beautiful here, with lots of wild areas, forests, trails, and beaches. We are hoping to find someone who will be happy with a more slow-paced lifestyle, exploring the local wild areas.

We live about a 15-minute drive from our closest town center. It is about 1 hour, including a short ferry ride, to get to the closest small city by car. We generally only go into the city every few weeks, if you want to go more often, we can drop you off at the ferry and you can take a bus in. There is a small bus on the island as well but doesn't run every day.
