Salary range (but not limited to):
161,600 - 197,500Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
At Intact, we are dedicated to building innovative, in-house solutions to streamline our operations and enhance our service offerings. We are currently seeking a highly technical skilled and experienced Principal to lead the technical strategy and roadmap, and to advocate our strategy and vision of our Policy Administration System (PAS).
The Principal will act as a thought leader, mentoring teams, driving best practices, innovation in software development and system integration and collaborating globally: you will be responsible of leading the end-to-end strategy, design, and development of a robust and scalable PAS tailored to our business needs. You will leverage your deep expertise in system architecture, data management, and software engineering to ensure the successful delivery of an enterprise-grade solution.

What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s in computer science/software engineering or equivalent experience.
15+ years in software engineering and enterprise architecture; experience building PAS or similar systems.
Expertise in system design, integration patterns, and data management/governance.
Proficiency in Python/Java (e.g., Spring Boot), RESTful APIs, microservices.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
Demonstrated AI/ML integration in enterprise systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management; ability to negotiate and influence.
Bilingualism (French and English) -
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
