Join our client’s team as a Hardware Compliance Designer / Engineer , where you’ll help ensure complex electronic systems meet required safety and certification standards. This role is hands-on and technical, with a strong focus on EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and hardware compliance rather than pure electrical design.
This is a contract position (initially 4-6 months) with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to permanent. The role is hybrid, with onsite work required for testing and lab activities—especially during onboarding.
You’ll work closely with engineering teams and certification labs, supporting both testing and documentation. Day-to-day work includes setting up and supporting EMC and environmental tests (such as temperature and vibration), working with electronic test equipment, and preparing clear, detailed documentation including test plans, procedures, reports, and EMC analysis. With experience, you may also take part in customer discussions to help explain results and compliance outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on EMC experience and a solid understanding of hardware certification processes. Experience in railway signaling is a plus, but candidates from aerospace, avionics, automotive, industrial electronics, or certification labs are very welcome. You should be comfortable working with electronic hardware, able to document your work clearly, and confident communicating technical information. A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) is required.
