Carpenter Foreperson

Coquitlam Ridge Constructors, part of BA Blacktop Group of Companies, is currently seeking a team-oriented, self-motivated and dedicated individual to join our Operations Team as a Carpenter Foreperson .

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Superintendent, successful Carpenter forepersons are trade‑qualified craftspeople with extensive skills and experience in carpentry and bridge‑related construction activities, responsible for overseeing all aspects of carpentry projects.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

Planning and Scheduling

• Understand and implement the project work plan to meet, or improve upon, the budget and schedule.
• Translate the detailed task requirements into a prioritized plan for individual assignments and accountabilities.
• Identify and verify that all tools and materials required by the crew are available in advance of task performance.
• Identify unforeseen needs or deficiencies in the plan / schedule and advise the Superintendent.
• Review, track, and report production results to the Superintendent daily.
• Resolve and report to the Superintendent any tasking / scheduling conflicts with other crews or contractors.
• Accountable for the production goals established for the tasks, including daily management of site-level documentation and timesheets.

Additional Comments On The Role

This is a BC Building Trade Union position and will require membership CMAW (Carpenters Union).

This position requires frequent travel between locations as project sites change annually.

Pay

From $41.95 per hour.
