Hamilton

Full Time

Hybrid- required 3 days a week in office, 2 from home. May move to full time in the office in future.

Full time training for 6 weeks in office

A well-established Insurance Company in the Hamilton area has an opening for a Compliance Analyst. This position offers :

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Conduct compliance assessments for regulatory business requirements, processes and risks.
  • Ensure necessary certification and audit controls are assessed and provide direction as needed.
  • Coordinate and perform risk assessments, monitoring and testing to ensure adherence to internal compliance policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure prompt resolution.
  • Investigate, review and prepare responses to complaints and inquiries.
  • Administration of compliance management system.
  • Manage technical process for operational and compliance audit program.
  • Assist in development, maintenance and implementation of compliance policies.

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

    Education / Experience :

  • Post Secondary degree / diploma in business or related program and related systems experience.

    • Skills / Abilities :

  • Minimum 1 year of compliance related experience with preference for insurance industry. Financial services will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office.
  • Knowledge of compliance such as insurance regulations, privacy and anti-money laundering would be an asset.
  • Ability to understand technical documents and legal / regulatory reference materials.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional attitude and high ethical standards.
