Production Associate

PureChem Services, the production chemical division of CES Energy Solutions, is looking for a self-motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Production Associate at our Nisku Scavenger Plant. This full-time, permanent position is located in Nisku, Alberta and reports directly to the Plant Manager. Working hours are rotating 8-hour shifts including some overnight and weekend shifts, additional overtime work may be required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Blend and package bulk petroleum chemicals.
• Record data in log from instruments and gauges concerning temperature, pressure, materials used, treating time, shift production, and monitor chemical reactions in the production of finished goods.
• Ship and receive liquid petroleum chemicals.
• Oversee operating equipment and notify maintenance engineer of equipment malfunction.
• Observe safety precautions, procedures and policies at all times.
• Complete daily inspections of assigned work areas such as hazard control material organization and facility cleaning.
• Perform routine facility and grounds maintenance including but not limited snow or rain removal and yardwork.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications and skillset:

• 1 year of related work experience would be considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of the English language as it pertains to health, safety, and chemical manufacturing processes.
• Ability to move at least 100 pounds.
• Comfortable using math for basic calculations.
• Willingness to understand chemical processes.
• Contributes to a team environment.
• Ability to take initiative to complete tasks and duties independently.
• Close proximity to Nisku.
