Purpose of the position

The assistant to the health services manager contributes to the planning and control of activities relating to the care and well-being of residents. He/she ensures compliance with the standards of the profession as well as the regulations governing the certification of private seniors’ residences relating to his/her sector.We are looking for two assistant care managers.A part-time position (4/15) evening and night, every other weekendA full-time position (8/15) evenings and nights, weekends only Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :

• Practice while respecting the laws and standards in force, the scale of values of residents and their beliefs
• Work in close collaboration with the Health Services Manager to supervise and mobilize the work of registered and/or auxiliary nurses and resident attendants
• Plan human resources and ensure timely replacement of care staff as needed
• Collaborate in the staffing process of your sector by ensuring the reception, training and integration of new employees
• Participate in the establishment and maintenance of protocols necessary for prevention and appropriate care of residents
• Ensure the accuracy of the data entered in the different work routes in Symo
• Collaborate on staffing/billing analysis to improve the efficiency and profitability of health services
• In the absence of the Health Services Manager, take charge of communication and ensure that the bond of trust with residents, their families and loved ones is maintained
• Act as an intermediary for various external stakeholders (doctors, pharmacists, CLSC, CISSS, etc.)
• Take appropriate measures with regard to emergency situations that may arise in the establishment.
• Carry out/contribute to the clinical assessment and monitoring of residents and ensure work routes are updated according to their specific needs
• Providing health and wellness care with the goal of maintaining and restoring health and preventing disease

Required qualifications :

• Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
• Experience in personnel management
• A working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook software
• Member of the OIIAQ
• Up-to-date general first aid CPR/AED training
• Experience in personnel management (an asset)
• Comfort in using computer tools
