Your Role
This role comprises all semi-skilled warehouse tasks required to receive, store, pick and ship customer orders. The role is differentiated with General Labor by its requirement for additional material handling equipment, process, or technical skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Follow standard warehouse practices and work instructions required to maintain high levels of inventory and location accuracy
- Documents and identifies all discrepancies to the Team Lead
- Accurately complete routine documentation, such as check-in sheets for export / import, manifests, MHE inspections and other documents pertaining to warehouse operations
- Perform a variety of physically demanding general labor duties according to standard work instructions, such as manually loading and unloading goods from a trailer, manually loading x-ray machine with unsecure cargo
- Demonstrates accuracy and efficiency in the execution of standard warehousing processes such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, checking and loading customer orders and products
- Comply with GMP requirements as applicable to ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Transport Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements are met
- Demonstrates and maintains a skill set capable of operating a variety of equipment used in a traditional warehouse environment examples include but are not limited to : scanners, computers, scales, pallet jacks and a variety of motorized material handling
- Follows all company safety, security and housekeeping protocols. Respects customer and company property and equipment
- Proactive in accident & incident prevention and fills out these reports promptly and accurately when required
- Other duties as assigned
