Your primary responsibilities will include :

  • Delivering value to clients by providing knowledge, ideas and solutions for improving the business, assessing legal implications.
  • Ensuring engagements are executed in accordance with the firm's methodologies and guidance, professional standards, and legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading and coordinating the planning and management of assignments in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Securing and enhancing relationships with senior client management.
  • Being a pro-active leader of teams, ensuring team members are properly managed and motivated.
  • Ensuring staff needs, including training and development, are identified and acted upon.
  • Generating new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions.
  • Developing long-term relationships and networks, both internally and externally.

A successful candidate will have :

  • A Canadian CPA, CA designation.
  • At least 7 years of public accounting experience.
  • A strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises and Canadian corporate and personal tax.
  • A proven ability to develop new business.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients as a trusted business advisor.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting timelines.
  • Experience with MS Office, CaseWare and tax return software.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively work with others in teams.
  • A strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
