Who are we looking for?

Our Windsor location is looking to filla  Graduate Field Technician  position in our growing Canadian Operations.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in :

• Work in cooperation with a multi-disciplinary project team to complete projects incorporating contaminated sites investigation and remediation
• Recommend implementation plans for own part of project / project team to Technical Lead or senior members of the team
• Oversight of drilling investigations involving environmental components including coordination and review of utility locates and utility drawings.
• Assist with field work, including environmental monitoring,(soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment sampling) drilling oversight, and remediation contractor oversight
• Assist with data compilation, analysis, and evaluation using the application of engineering principles and problem-solving skills under the supervision of a project manager
• Prepare technical documents, including draft work plans, environmental sampling and analysis plans, reports, and correspondence
• Prepare project support documents, including scopes of work and health and safety plans
• Organize field programs including coordination with chemists and laboratory vendors to order sample bottles and jars and coordination with field equipment managers and equipment vendors to arrange for field equipment
• Communicate with client contact under the supervision of Supervisor, Project Director or Project Manager
• Communicate with vendors and contractors
• Assist with contract administration and cost control
• Supervise the performance of more junior team members to ensure compliance to procedures, processes and standards
• Research, review and understand municipal, provincial and federal acts, and regulations
• Participate in design and project management meetings
