As a Technician in the Refurb Department, you are key to our after-sales service. You are responsible for assisting with repairs of our products/equipment, including electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools.

What will you work on?
- Visually inspect and test products/equipment.
- Dismantle products/equipment and repair within Makita Canada Inc. standards.
- Troubleshoot and identify malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.
- Assemble and test tools to ensure proper performance levels.
- Ensures appropriate service levels are maintained.
- Performs other related duties as required.
To be successful you will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of related experience repairing tools/equipment.
- Knowledge and experience using and repairing electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools.
- Experience with desktop software applications
What you bring to the team:
- Comprehension: Ability to read, interpret and explain documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to be able to prioritize your work.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of inventory control, shipping and receiving an asset.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment, with the ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time, also includes a lot of reaching, lifting, pushing/pulling, bending, and twisting.
