A Gas Turbine Engine (GTE) Mechanic position is primarily responsible for carrying out disassembly, assembly, inspection and test stand work on gas turbine engines. Typical duties and responsibilities include implementing work plans by following instructions from various sources, using test and measuring equipment to carry out work, recognizing and reporting defects on parts, assemblies, engines, and accessories, certifying correctness of work and performing preliminary inspections, raising and creating repair documents in ECMS, and ordering parts. The GTE Mechanic would be someone who has excellent mechanical aptitude, knowledge of aircraft engine components / accessories, and most importantly, completed a recognized Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) or Gas Turbine Engines (GTE) qualification. The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal / teamwork, organizational, and communication skills, both verbally and in writing. We are looking for Gas Turbine Engine (GTE) Mechanics to join our Delta-based client in the avionics / aircraft engineering and maintenance industry. The role will be responsible for responsible for carrying out disassembly, assembly, inspection and test stand work on gas turbine engines. Typical duties and responsibilities include implementing work plans by following instructions from various sources, using test and measuring equipment to carry out work, recognizing and reporting defects on parts, assemblies, engines, and accessories, certifying correctness of work and performing preliminary inspections, raising and creating repair documents in ECMS, and ordering parts.
The GTE Mechanic would be someone who has completed a GTE or AME-M or AME-E course by a Transport Canada approved training organization followed by an apprenticeship, or previously held a Shop Certification Authority (SCA).

Candidates must have good knowledge and understanding of main standard inspection and repair processes used in engine repair, must have the ability to perform work on computer systems using standard Electronic Data Processing (EDP) and software programs (Word, Excel, Access, PDF formatting). Intermediate knowledge of SAP is required.The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal / teamwork, organizational, and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
