Job Type : Temp with a possibility of perm

Schedule : Monday to Friday

Competitive pay of $18 / hr. & potential for a raise based on experience.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Administrative Support to join our client's team in Saskatoon. Our client is a leading transportation company specializing in logistics and freight services. With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, they provide comprehensive solutions to meet the diverse needs of their clients.

Job Description :

As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's office. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support to managers and office staff, handling payroll processing, scheduling appointments, managing customer interactions, and performing various clerical tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. What You Do :

  • Provide administrative support to managers and office staff, ensuring administrative matters are handled efficiently and professionally.
  • Process payroll for city drivers, input data, and address inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies.
  • Welcome clients, determine the nature of business, and direct them to appropriate managers and employees.
  • Schedule driver appointments and update appointment information in the system.
  • Input bills of lading and update proof of delivery documents.
  • Track and update shipment information for agent delivery.
  • Handle phone calls and email inquiries, relay messages to appropriate personnel.
  • Attend meetings, take notes, and follow up on decisions within your area of responsibility.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Prepare manifests for shipments crossing the Canada-US border.
  • Assist drivers with paperwork and border crossing procedures.
  • Mentor and train office staff in procedures and software usage.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Who You Are :

  • Minimum of secondary education, with preference for post-secondary education or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in transportation or logistics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word & technologically savvy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement proactive solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under a flexible schedule.
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
