FUNCTION & DUTIES :
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Human Resources, the Administration Technician performs various tasks related to the administration of the staff files. Some responsibilities include :
- Creating new employee files and ensuring that all pertinent documents and information have been received
- Establishing the remuneration of employees, regional disparities, retention premiums and other benefits to which the employee is eligible
- Administrating the reception and validation of employee's declaration of dependents
- Manage disability / CNESST, preventive withdrawal, and workplace accident files
- Draft various letters for employees
- Evaluating the recognition of experience for employees, updating the files in the pay system and producing the seniority list
- Informing Payroll of any changes in an employee file including the notice of closure
- Administrating the maternity, paternity and parental leaves
- Maintaining and updating a variety of employee lists
- Answering any questions concerning staff's working conditions
- Inform, assist and support the Centre Directors and the secretaries of schools in the tasks achieved by this staff with regard to the needs for the management of the files of the human resources
- Performing any other related tasks as requested by immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS :
College diploma (DEC) in Human Resources or a diploma or attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the Board. The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.

Available to travel in Nunavik 1 or 2 weeks per school yearFluency in at least two of the working languages of the Board (Inuktitut, French, English)Excellent knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and ExcelIndependent, strong organizational skills, motivated and performing under pressureExperience with collective agreementsIn depth knowledge of the GRICS system is considered an assetWORK SCHEDULE :
35 hours per week from Monday to Friday - Partial telework is possible.
CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS :
In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category 4211 : from $24.21 to $32.32 an hour depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
