Job Summary : Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment.

Job Responsibilities :
Must be flexible to work rotating 12-hour day and night shiftsAdhere to safety policies, programs, proceduresComplete health & safety pre-start checklistsInspect raw material and finish products per quality specificationsOperate counterbalance, propane-powered forkliftEnsure product being produced meets established quality specificationsConduct quality checks at regular intervalsOperate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating proceduresDocument production numbers, items contributing to down-time into systemAbility to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basisGeneral housekeeping dutiesAdditional duties as assigned by Supervisory staffQualifications :
High Secondary School diplomaMinimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry or similar industry preferred3 years of flexographic printing and / or blown film multilayer extrusion experience is considered an assetBasic knowledge of water based print and / or blown film extrusion raw materialsMinimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferredComfortable with standing for extended periods of timeManual dexterityAttention to detailAbility to follow direction and specific instructionsGood communication skills; Fluent in English - Reading, Writing and SpeakingComfortable with working in a dusty environmentMust be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basisMust be able to walk and / or stand 90% of the shiftMust be able to work at heights and in confined spacesBenefits of Employment : IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
