Job Profile Summary
Accountable for the direct, day‑to‑day management of a team of IT professionals within the Enterprise Data Management Office (EDMO), supporting business segments, internal partners and stakeholder needs. Requires initiative, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders such as Technology, Data Governance, Control Partners and Audit.
Key Accountabilities
Customer:
- Manage a cross‑functional team of IT professionals to support assigned business segments and stakeholder needs.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of metadata and reference data cataloguing solutions using Collibra, ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance standards.
- Lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle management of data products from ideation to deployment and support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define TD’s data product vision, strategy and roadmap in alignment with governance.
- Oversee configuration and optimization of Collibra modules, including workflows, business glossary, lineage and dashboards.
- Promote data literacy and train teams on metadata management practices and Collibra usage.
- Establish day‑to‑day management direction, define priorities and strategies consistent with business goals.
- Responsible for project delivery of applications within scope, commissioning projects to Tech PMs.
- Communicate business vision and portfolio priorities to team members and other stakeholders.
- Develop impact assessments, manage delivery schedules and perform risk assessments for operational processes.
- Monitor capacity forecasting process compliance, reporting status and portfolio health.
- Assess change requests and issues, identify key items for reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues; monitor billings and expenses.
- Assist in scope and risk assessments for projects, working with clients, PMs and vendors on plans, budgets and deliverables.
- Work closely with IT leadership to focus on reusability, scalability and enterprise‑wide solutions to maximize returns.
Shareholder:
- Measure and monitor progress at key points to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet expectations.
- Embed metadata management practices, including documentation of standards and centralized cataloguing.
- Implement data quality rules, profile datasets and maintain lineage for critical data elements using Collibra.
- Assess work plans and schedule impacts across portfolio, escalating issues as necessary.
- Comply with enterprise technology delivery practices, standards and project management disciplines.
- Track major deliverables; communicate updates and support initiatives to reduce time‑to‑market and contain costs.
- Ensure operational, reputational and intellectual risks are understood and provide advice to minimize risk.
- Maintain knowledge of competition, customer/industry trends and technology innovation to identify research opportunities.
- Deliver high‑level customer service, meeting commitments and enhancing service levels through SLA practices.
- Stay informed of technology initiatives and IT direction across TDBG to support businesses.
- Ensure full understanding of business requirements and apply knowledge to prioritize delivery of new and existing projects.

- Negotiate technology costs and scope in forecasting and planning with business clients.
- Own advanced knowledge of business and bank technology standards and managing people/projects.
- Expertise in Collibra configuration, integration with data platforms and automation of ingestion and validation.
- Collaborate with Data Owners and Stewards to maintain metadata and resolve data issues.
- Stay knowledgeable of external competition and market trends in relation to own business.
- Manage multiple teams and projects of increasing complexity and broad scope.
- Work independently, developing strategic thinking for short to medium term business perspective.
- Manage system enhancements, releases or projects focusing on moderate scope and complexity.
- Lead a group of IT professionals (developers, analysts, specialists, administrators, PMs).
- Orchestrate the development of resolutions, plans and strategies for operational advancement.
- Reports to the Sr. Manager.
Experience & Education
- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.
- 7+ years relevant experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills bridging business and technical requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in metadata management, reference data management, Collibra administration and data governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to drive adoption of data governance tools and processes across business segments.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (benefit).
- Working knowledge of Agile (SCRUM or KANBAN) methodology (asset).
- Knowledge of data policy and governance principles.
- High degree of multitasking and prioritization required.
- Ability to facilitate details and manage multiple customers/Lines of Business simultaneously.
