We’re hiring a Controller at All Weather Group’s Edmonton head office. The role is a senior finance leader responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business support across our customer solution centres and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
- Own the annual budgeting and forecasting process using Vena, providing meaningful analysis and insights.
- Support operational and strategic decision‑making through performance analysis, cost management, and margin reporting.
- Partner with manufacturing and inventory teams to analyse overhead, scrap, yield, and production efficiency.
- Manage year‑end close activities and coordinate with external auditors, including preparation of audited financial statements under ASPE.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, systems, and reporting timelines.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team while setting priorities and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Support system enhancements and ERP‑related initiatives from a finance and controls perspective.
Education & Credentials
University degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.CPA designation preferred.Experience
Extensive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, overhead management, and margin analysis.Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (Infor Syteline, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar); ERP implementation experience is an asset.Strong working knowledge of FP&A tools such as Vena and advanced Excel capabilities.Competencies
