Job Description

Our leading environmental waste client is looking for a Bilingual (FR / ENG) Instructional Designer to join their team for a 12 month term.

The Instructional Designer will develop educational materials and training programs. You’ll work closely with subject matter experts, content developers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and implement instructional content tailored to our audience and aligned with learning objectives. Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine training needs and define learning objectives.
  • Design and develop engaging instructional materials such as e-learning modules, videos, simulations, and assessments.
  • Apply instructional design principles and learning theories to create effective learning experiences.
  • Utilize Adult Learning principles to select the best training delivery methods.
  • Use the ADDIE Model or similar methodologies to create high-quality training content.
  • Manage training content in a centralized repository.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Implement curriculum design principles to maintain consistency and flexibility.
  • Support the launch and scaling of a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Apply project management methodologies to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Communicate project progress and address potential risks.
  • Conduct post-project analysis and provide feedback for future improvements.
  • Deliver Instructor-Led (ILT) or Virtual Instructor-Led training sessions.
  • Conduct Train-The-Trainer (TTT) sessions as needed.

Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years of experience in program management, instructional design, and facilitation.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and e-learning development, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.
  • Proficiency with A rticulate 360, Adobe Suite, Camtasia, Vyond, and other course authoring software.
  • Strong interest in adult learning theory and learning technologies.
  • Ability to create comprehensive learning materials and follow-up tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work within fixed constraints.
  • Flexible and responsive, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Fluency in French is required (French language skills will be tested)
