Our client, a well-established real estate company in Ottawa is looking for a Financial Accountant.

Reporting into the Controller, this position will be responsible for:

• Complete monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and GL’s
• Assist with creation and monitoring of corporate and operating budgets
• Process and reconcile construction draws, progress billings, and retention payments
• Track project budgets, commitments, change orders, and actual costs
• Work closely with project managers and cross functional teams spanning across the entire organization
• Contribute to cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities
• Assist with the overview of accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring timely billing and receipts
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes

• 2-3 years relevant accounting experience
• Pursuing or has CPA designation
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication and business acumen
• Self-motivated
