Position Overview
The Senior Procure-to-Pay Process & Systems Lead (Ariba) is accountable for the design, standardization, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise business processes and enabling systems supporting Ontario Power Generation – Nuclear (OPG-N).
This role serves as the enterprise authority for Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and the Ariba platform, ensuring alignment between business requirements, nuclear governance, system configuration, and performance outcomes. The incumbent will lead complex, cross-functional process improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies, while ensuring compliance with nuclear standards, regulatory requirements, and Chief Nuclear Officer (CNO) directives.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Process & System Ownership
Act as the enterprise lead for Procure-to-Pay business processes, ensuring standardized, compliant, and efficient end-to-end workflows across Nuclear sites and Headquarters.
Serve as the Ariba System Administrator, accountable for configuration, security, performance, and ongoing system optimization.
Recommend and maintain standardized business processes, system controls, and governance structures aligned with OPG-N objectives.
Process Improvement & Transformation
Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and success measures for process improvement initiatives aligned with Nuclear business priorities.
Lead Lean / Six Sigma-based process re-engineering efforts, including value stream mapping, root-cause analysis, and benefits realization.
Identify, assess, and mitigate implementation risks related to organizational change, training, data migration, and system integration.
Program & Project Leadership
Develop and maintain integrated process improvement project plans, schedules, and transition roadmaps from current to future state.
Monitor progress against cost, schedule, scope, and benefits, providing clear reporting and recommendations to management.
Lead and coordinate assigned project resources, creating a high-performance, continuous-improvement culture.
Governance, Change & Stakeholder Management
Establish data, process, and content stewardship models, including approval and arbitration support for Content Authorities.
Manage and prioritize the backlog of process change requests, ensuring alignment with Nuclear priorities and strategic objectives.
Support Nuclear Headquarters and site stakeholders through planning, readiness, and execution of process and system changes.
System Implementation & Sustainment
Support implementation activities including :
Development of business processes, procedures, and desktop instructions
Definition and deployment of performance metrics
Training design and delivery
Technology infrastructure and system configuration
Data migration from legacy systems
Cutover planning and execution
Define system security, configuration, interfaces, and reporting requirements to support Nuclear business needs.
Ensure system performance, compliance, and sustainment post-implementation.
Quality, Compliance & Integration
Execute all process and system work in accordance with Nuclear governance and approved process design documentation.
Monitor site implementation activities to ensure adherence to approved standards and identify improvement opportunities.
Coordinate with internal and external partners, including IM vendors and suppliers, to ensure solutions meet Nuclear requirements.
Represent OPG-N in cross-corporate initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
University degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred) with 5+ years of hands-on process improvement experience.
Demonstrated experience as an Ariba System or Business Administrator.
Proven expertise across the end-to-end Supply Chain lifecycle, with deep focus on Procure-to-Pay.
8–10 years of progressive experience in :
Process improvement and business re-engineering
Project planning, estimating, cost control, and reporting
Nuclear or highly regulated operational environments
Strong understanding of Nuclear organizational structures, policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership.
