With a team of nearly 200 designers, engineers, naval architects, administrators, and technical support staff spread across three locations in Mount Pearl, NL; Vancouver, BC; Halifax, NS; and New Orleans, US, Genoa provides expertise and dedicated support throughout the shipbuilding process. Currently, the company is actively engaged in major government initiatives such as Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS) and commercial contracts in shipyards across North America.

We have partnered with Genoa in their search of a Senior Director of Customer Delivery, who will assume responsibility for steering existing Customer Account Management strategies, ensuring Genoa remains at the forefront of delivering high-quality and profitable services. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead successful portfolio delivery and ensure business unit profitability through high-quality, profitable performance across all programs and projects.
  • Proactively manage portfolio-level risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to drive customer performance, utilizing data-analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Nurture collaboration between project and finance teams for reliable project forecasting.
  • Support market development and strategic planning by collaborating with Marketing, Business, and Product development teams.
  • Lead business development activities within Program Portfolios.
  • Provide active leadership and coaching to Program / Project Management teams, empowering them to achieve objectives aligned with customer strategies.
  • Develop the project leadership team to enhance management experience.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to leverage team expertise for service delivery enhancement.
  • Promote operational excellence and prepare for sustainable growth by supporting the development and integration of new products & services, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and identifying opportunities to leverage strengths and address challenges for enhanced customer delivery.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years Project management experience; ideally in a design, construction, or manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B. Eng, B. Tech, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience leading or supporting business development activities.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining client relationships that foster customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of and experience in developing and reporting on key performance indicators
