Summary

Reporting to the Director, Digital Risk & Cyber Security, the Manager, Digital Risk Practice Management is responsible for coordinating all Director activities in support of functional priorities, such as strategic plans, initiatives, and organizational development processes. The individual in this role plays a crucial role in optimizing the efficient operation of the function with respect to workflow, scheduling, staffing, budget, communications, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Guide the Director to ensure the efficient operation of the Digital Risk & Cyber Security Practice overall (i.e., Intake and Demand management) and assist the Director in coordinating activities in support of strategic priorities
  • Develop and implement functional and organizational processes to support the effective and efficient operation of the Digital Risk & Cyber Security function as a whole
  • Build detailed operating and financial reports
  • Review personnel actions, deliver ad hoc reports, lead briefings and respond to a variety of organizational and strategic issues
  • Lead all aspects of portfolio of project work including its resourcing and delivery
  • Act as first point of contact for project managers
  • Conduct project status reviews with the Director and executive team
  • Responsible for the enterprise wide Digital Risk & Cyber Security awareness and communications program
  • Mentor, coach, and aid in the development of team members
  • Lead performance improvement, promotion, salary, and matters related to staff

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience at a leadership or managerial level, preferably in digital risk and cybersecurity
  • MBA or an MA in information security, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience crafting or maturing staff development and engagement programs
  • One or more of the following certifications : Project Management Professional, Project Management Institute, Enterprise Project Management
  • Solid understanding of risk and cybersecurity fundamentals and security technologies
  • Experience or certification in process improvement techniques, such as Six Sigma
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated issues to diverse audiences in an easy-to-understand, assertive, and practical manner
  • Ability to lead, and empower sophisticated teams
  • Demonstrated ability to use positive influencing skills efficiently to modify perspectives, plans, or behaviours
  • Outstanding presentation skills, especially with senior executive audiences
  • Solid understanding or business experience in business units or functional areas outside security
  • Understanding of business needs, mission, values, and goals and demonstrated ability to apply knowledge
  • Motivated to deliver high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business
  • Outstanding decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to conduct cost and benefit analysis
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and rationalization skills
  • Able to build and nurture positive relationship with collaborators at all levels and roles in the company
  • Commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity
  • Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
