The Plumbing Purchaser is responsible for the day-to-day purchasing of plumbing fixtures, equipment, pipe, valves, fittings, and plumbing line materials in support of project and operational requirements. This role focuses on executing procurement activities efficiently, ensuring cost control, supplier compliance, and on-time delivery while following established procurement processes.
- Purchase plumbing fixtures, equipment, pipe, valves, fittings, and plumbing line materials in accordance with project schedules and procurement procedures
- Issue RFQs, review supplier quotes, and prepare purchase orders based on approved scopes, drawings, and specifications
- Processes internal purchase orders for miscellaneous project and company related purchase
- Perform detailed quote and bid comparisons to ensure pricing accuracy, scope compliance, and material suitability
- Coordinate closely with VP Procurement and Production, Project Management, Engineering, and Field teams to confirm material requirements, quantities, and delivery timelines
- Track purchase orders from placement through delivery and resolve issues related to pricing, lead times, shortages, substitutions, or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and supplier files within the Supply Chain Management system
- Ensure suppliers meet qualification, accreditation, and compliance requirements
- Support the use and maintenance of electronic procurement and supply chain management tools
- Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and responsiveness, and escalate issues as required
- Assist with cost tracking, savings documentation, and routine procurement reporting
- Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes, templates, and workflows
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company procurement policies and procedures
- The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000–$110,000, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed in your offer
