MRI Technologist

Position Overview

The MRI Technologist provides all aspects of patient care and MRI imaging. This position works independently and professionally under the scope and standards of the MRI designation under the governing body of CMRITO. These responsibilities shall be carried out in accordance with HGH’s mission, vision and leadership philosophy, policies and procedures, collective agreements and applicable legislation and regulations.

HOURS OF WORK:
TEMPORARY PART-TIME 0.8 FTE until June 2027 approximately
• Rotation: day, evening, night, weekends, statutory holidays and on-call shifts.

As a pre-condition of employment:

• All new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.

What we are looking for

• Membership of the C.M.R.I.T.O. (College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario) in the designation of MRI
• Possess a working knowledge of both English and French
• Demonstrated critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills to plan and organize appropriately, anticipate, prevent, and resolve problems.
• Effective time management
• Customer service oriented approach
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
• Demonstrated use of infection control practices related to work
• Excellent knowledge of MRI technology and safety
