Rapid Response Guard - Full Time - Region of Halton - Vehicle Required
Position Overview : As a Full-Time Rapid Response Guard, you will work at various sites across Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Georgetown, including industrial, retail, healthcare, and office buildings. This dynamic role requires flexibility and quick adaptability to different environments. Site assignments are provided shortly before each shift, so you must be ready to deploy.

Position 1 x Continental Days (0700–1900 hrs)
Position 2 x Continental Nights (1900 - 0700 hrs)
Payrate : $19.00 / hr
Averaging Agreement : Overtime is AA after 88 hours

Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct regular patrols at assigned sites, including industrial, retail , healthcare , and office towers, to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
- Operate security systems such as CCTV cameras and alarm panels, and promptly report any suspicious or unauthorized activity to appropriate authorities.
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry in accordance with site-specific protocols.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies including medical incidents, fire alarms or other security threats; assist staff and patrons during evacuations or critical incidents as required.
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, staff, and tenants in a professional and courteous manner; provide directions and ensure compliance with site policies.
- De-escalate tense or disruptive situations, resolve conflicts professionally, and maintain a calm presence under pressure across various environments.
- Accurately document site activities, incidents, and observations; complete incident reports, security logs, and breach documentation in a timely manner.
- Enforce site-specific policies and procedures.
- Travel between different site locations as assigned.
Requirements :
Valid Ontario Security License & First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved providerImmunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella , Covid Vaccine two doses, and two step TB skin testMust own a reliable vehicleFluent in English (oral and written)Legally authorized to work in CanadaEducation in Police Foundations, Criminology, PSI, or Border Services is considered an assetAble to provide a clean shaven face in order to pass a N95 mask fit testAbility to walk / climb stairs throughout the premises for longer periods of timeMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF) / Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware : The UOF / MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position / availability
